ESG & Sustainability — VASCCO

Sustainability in Action

We Don't Just Talk About It.
We Live It — On Every Trip.

From the moment students board the bus to the moment they head home, sustainability is built into how we operate — not as an add-on, but as our everyday standard.

Zero Waste on Every Trip
Zero Waste on Every Trip

We aim to keep all our programmes free from single-use bottles and disposable containers. Students are encouraged to bring refillable bottles and reusable lunchboxes — because sustainability starts with the small choices we make every day.

Shared with all schools before every trip
We Love Nature
We Love Nature. We Protect It Too.

Our facilitators model a love for nature on every trip. Students are taught to care for and respect animals and the environment. We do not conduct activities that harm or hurt animals — because how we treat nature says everything about who we are.

Non-negotiable standard on every outdoor programme
Environmental Mini-Discussions
Environmental Mini-Discussions

Short, facilitated conversations are woven into every trip — at the trailhead, during lunch, on the bus home. Students don't just do activities, they reflect on what they observed and connect it to the world around them.

Built into every session plan

Our ESG Framework

E
Environmental

Students measure carbon footprints, audit energy waste, assess green buildings, and design circular systems for their own schools.

S
Social

Programmes build empathy and social responsibility through service learning, cultural immersion, and collaborative decision-making.

G
Governance

Students weigh competing priorities, argue evidence-based positions, and present proposals to school leadership.

From Classroom to Community

More Than a Trip — A Journey of Change.

We design a journey — so that what students learn in a classroom, they test in the field, and what they test in the field, they turn into real change at school.

Workshop
Step 01
Workshop

Students investigate, calculate, and debate real sustainability challenges. They leave with data, questions, and a framework for thinking — not just facts to memorise.

Field Trip
Step 02
Field Trip

Students see the real-world version of what they studied. The field answers questions the classroom can't — and raises new ones worth bringing back.

Project for Change
Step 03
Project for Change

Students bring their findings back to school and propose — or build — something that stays. Something the school can point to and say: our students made this happen.

What Real Change Looks Like

Outcomes That Go Beyond the Trip.

Every programme is designed to leave something behind — in students, and in the school.

  • Exposure to environmental and sustainability fields, inspiring further research, exploration, and potential future career pathways
🌍 Schools Walk Away With
  • Clear curriculum and SDG-aligned sustainability outcomes
  • Student-led proposals ready for school leadership consideration
  • A strengthened school culture grounded in environmental awareness, empathy, and responsibility
  • Sustainable systems and student-driven initiatives that continue beyond the programme
